Good Evening,

I have been working on the “itinerary” for your visit to Cornwall.

I have reserved a car for your collection at Truro railway station at 14.22 on the 3 April. The car on the day, and indeed for the rest of your journeys, if you choose to go ahead, will be an E-class Mercedes to ensure your comfort. The cost of the taxi journey from Truro to the Falmouth Hotel is £27.00.

On the first day, 4th April, we suggest collecting you from the hotel at 10.00 AM, and then a leisurely drive towards the Roseland Peninsula, and South coast, perhaps taking in the King Harry ferry crossing (considered one of the most picturesque crossings in the world).

Stop for a break and coffee at the Nare Hotel, overlooking the magnificent Carne Beach.

This is followed by a tour of Portloe, and Portscatho both beautiful Cornish fishing villages, with spectacular views, and then onto St Mawes, also superbly positioned on the coast.

We would like to suggest taking lunch at The Hotel Tresanton in St Mawes. It is well known not only for super views, but most importantly good food. I have made some enquiries, and found the average cost of a lunch time meal in the region of £30.00. I have checked the menu and found both tempting steaks and a variety of fish and sea food dishes on offer.

The car will collect you after lunch and return you to the Falmouth Hotel at approx. 3.00 PM. The cost of the taxi car and driver for this day will be £150.00.

For the second day, the 5th April, we would like to suggest a journey to the North Coast, much more rugged and wild in its appearance, than the South coast.

The car will collect you at 10.00 AM and proceed along the coast road towards Newquay, via beautifully situated Mawgan Porth, stopping for coffee either at the Watergate Bay Hotel or the Atlantic Hotel, both in superb sea front locations.

Following this we suggest continuing the journey towards Padstow, a well known fishing port, via Treyarnon Bay, and Harlyn Bay. For lunch we suggest St Petroc Bistro in Padstow, owned by Rick Stein (well known chef). I have telephoned the restaurant, and found there is a variety of fish and sea food dishes (their speciality), and also a selection of steaks and meat dishes.

The average cost of a main course is approx. £15-£20.00.

After lunch the car will convey you back to base at The Falmouth Hotel at around 3.00 PM. The cost of the car and driver for this day will be £150.00.

On the day of departure the car will collect you at 10.00 AM for the journey to Truro railway station, in time for your 10.30 PM train. The cost of this journey will be £27.00
